| Catalogue illustration circa 1908. Note the
Philipps "Fancy Lamp," which Wurlitzer called a "Wonderlight,"
located just above the center niche. In addition to the already
installed "Fancy Lamp," Wurlitzer added numerous small electric
light bulbs to the casework once the instrument reached the
North Tonawanda, New York, factory. Electric lighting and motors
was added to PianOrchestras by Wurlitzer, so that the electrical
systems would operate under U.S. standards. |
