Kohler & Chase Opening Week—Wurlitzer Day—advertisement published in The San Francisco Examiner on Friday, January 7, 1910. The advertisement goes on to state: “Today will be devoted to the display of Wurlitzer Automatic Instruments. Kohler & Chase take great pleasure in presenting the complete Wurlitzer line, representing the finest automatic instruments in the world.” And the featured attraction is the $10,000 Wurlitzer Style 43 Concert PianOrchestra, for which “you are invited to attend a concert tonight in Kohler & Chase Concert Hall.” Interestingly, all of the concert selections are Wurlitzerized renditions of classical music, no popular tunes are included.

Comparing the date of the Kohler & Chase opening week advertisement of January 7, 1910, and this advertisement announcing the sale of the Wurlitzer Style 43 Concert PianOrchestra dated only 10 days later, the sale of the PianOrchestra was probably consummated during the opening week festivities of Kohler & Chase's, 26 O'Farrell Street, San Francisco, facility.
